Puerto de Béjar - Béjar
This road bike stage connects Puerto de Béjar with the town of Béjar over approximately 20.5 kilometres with an elevation gain of 482 metres, making it of moderate difficulty. It is a stage that combines gentle downhill sections with more demanding climbs, ideal for experienced riders who enjoy mountain scenery and villages with charm.
The route mainly runs along light-traffic minor roads with good surfaces, surrounded by scenery of great beauty. Along the way, you pass wooded areas and small villages with good views of the Béjar and Candelario mountain ranges. Take care when approaching the crossroads towards Candelario, as it is on a bend with reduced visibility.
One of the highlights of this stage is Candelario, a picturesque mountain village declared a Historic-Artistic Site, known for its cobbled streets, houses with wooden balconies and batipuertas (wooden half-doors). Its traditional architecture and natural surroundings make Candelario a very special place to visit along the Ruta Via de la Plata. Béjar, a town with a rich history and services for cyclotourists, is the final stop on a stage full of appeal.
Béjar - Puerto de Béjar

The route mostly runs along minor roads with good surfaces and light vehicle traffic through a rural and mountainous setting that is ideal for cyclotourists. The route has a gradual but sustained ascent but there are no steep inclines, ideal for those looking for a quiet day to enjoy the landscape as they ride.
In addition, along the way you pass through the picturesque village of Candelario, considered one of the most beautiful in Salamanca province. Its well-preserved historic centre with cobbled streets and traditional mountain architecture are the main features. The stage ends at Puerto de Béjar, a high-altitude point that marks a natural and logistical milestone on the Ruta Vía de la Plata.
