Puente de los Fierros (Lena) - Pola de Lena (Lena)
This stage, approximately 13 kilometres long with a 49-metre drop, is ideal for road bikes and is classified as easy, making it accessible and enjoyable for all types of cyclists.
The route begins at Puente de los Fierros and runs along the Pajares River Valley, following local roads with little traffic through a natural setting dominated by leafy forests and green meadows. Its slightly downhill profile allows you to enjoy the landscape without too much effort, passing through small villages that are typical of the central part of Asturias.
At the end of the stage, Pola de Lena is a town with a notable railway history. It also has a valuable heritage, including the pre-Romanesque church of Santa Cristina de Lena, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is also an ideal place to pause and enjoy the local cuisine in a tranquil setting.
