This stage runs from Santa Marina del Rey to La Bañeza over about 30 kilometres with an elevation gain of 33 metres. Its practically flat profile makes it an easy route, ideal for a quiet ride.

Most of the route is on minor roads with very little traffic, allowing you to ride safely and enjoy the typical rural landscape of the province of León. It is a comfortable ride, with no technical difficulties.

La Bañeza, at the end of the stage, is a town with a distinct cultural and festive character. Its heritage includes churches such as Santa Maria and San Salvador, as well as a lively cultural and gastronomic activity. It is also well-known for its traditional carnival and the ‘Grand Prix of Speed’, the longest-running classic urban circuit motorbike race on the Iberian Peninsula.
