Cáceres - Casar de Cáceres
This road bike stage runs from the city of Cáceres to Casar de Cáceres over 11 kilometres with an elevation gain of 35 metres. It is a low-difficulty route, ideal for cyclists looking for a short, easy stage along good roads.
The route runs along well-surfaced minor roads that have very little vehicle traffic in an open landscape of crop fields and gentle hills. The route profile is almost flat with some slight undulations, which means that riders can maintain a steady pace throughout the stage.
The stage ends at Casar de Cáceres, a quiet village mainly known as the home of ‘Torta del Casar’, a Protected Designation of Origin (D.O.P.) cheese that stands out for its ochre-coloured skin and very creamy inside.
