Aldea del Cano - Cáceres
This road bike stage runs from Aldea del Cano to the city of Cáceres over 24.5 kilometres with an elevation gain of 182 metres. It is an easy route, although with some elevation gain.
It runs along quiet minor roads in good condition and crosses a landscape characterised by grasslands, gentle hills and crop fields. Although flat sections predominate, there are some gradual uphill sections that require a bit more effort, especially near the end of the stage.
Cáceres, a monumental city with a unique historic-artistic tradition, was recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1968, and it adds extra appeal to the end of the stage.
Cáceres - Aldea del Cano
This road bike stage starts in Cáceres and heads southwards towards Aldea del Cano over 24.5 kilometres with an elevation gain of 146 metres. It is an easy stage, providing a comfortable ride along wide roads past open landscapes.
The route runs along tarmacked minor roads with a very low level of traffic and a landscape dominated by grassland, scrubland and gentle hills. The profile descends more in the first section, with a few gentle uphill sections as you progress towards the south.
Aldea del Cano, a quiet village surrounded by fields, marks the end of a pleasant and comfortable stage, ideal as a section on its own or as part of the Ruta Vía de la Plata.
