This mountain bike stage runs from Cañaveral to Grimaldo over a short but intense 9-kilometre route, with an elevation gain of 256 metres. Despite the short distance, it is a medium-difficulty route due to steep slopes and uneven terrain.

The stage runs through natural surroundings marked by demanding climbs, stony roads and scrubland areas, requiring constant effort right from the start. The route runs along dirt tracks and trails, crossing a typical mountain landscape of Cáceres province, with little shade but excellent views.

The arrival at Grimaldo, a hamlet with rural charm, is the end of a short but challenging stage. Its tranquil surroundings make it a good place to pause before continuing to on to longer stages.

Grimaldo - Cañaveral

This mountain bike stage runs from Grimaldo to Cañaveral over 9 kilometres, with an elevation gain of 142 metres. It is a medium-difficulty route, ideal for those who enjoy a short ride. Nevertheless, some stretches require concentration and a good pedalling pace.

The route runs along dirt tracks and rural roads through scrubland and grasslands that are characteristic of the region. Although the route profile is gentler than in the opposite direction, it still has some climbs and areas with uneven terrain that add technical interest to the stage.

The stage ends in Cañaveral, a village with a traditional setting, ideal for resting.
