This stage of about 9 kilometres connects Canaveral with Grimaldo, with a total elevation gain of 247 metres of unevenness. Designed for gravel bikes, it is rated as easy despite its constant climbs and some technical sections that require good riding technique in the countryside.

The route runs along rural roads and trails between olive groves and quaints typical of the region, offering a very attractive and tranquil natural landscape. The surface, mostly compacted soil, is suitable for gravel bikes but requires attention in the most irregular areas or where there are loose stones.

This stage is ideal for cyclists who are looking to combine nature, a bit of effort, and culture in a short distance.

Grimaldo - Cañaveral

This stage, approximately 9 kilometres long, runs from Grimaldo to Cañaveral with an elevation gain of 134 metres. Designed for gravel bikes, it is rated as easy, and although there are some gentle gradients the route is mostly comfortable as you ride along well-compacted tracks.

The route crosses typical landscapes of northern Extremadura: grasslands and areas of Mediterranean scrubland. The peaceful area with little vehicle traffic makes this a very pleasant stage, ideal para enjoying the surroundings without too much technical or physical effort.

This stage is ideal for a short day’s ride or as part of a transition to more demanding sections along the Ruta Vía de la Plata.
