Montamarta - Santovenia
This mountain bike stage runs from Montamarta to the village of Santovenia along approximately 34 kilometres with an elevation gain of 272 metres. Of moderate-to-high difficulty, the stage combines easy stretches with sections that are more demanding. It is ideal for riders who are used to medium-distance rides.
The route mainly runs along dirt tracks and rural paths, crossing the landscapes of the plateau of Zamora with good views, crop fields and gentle undulations. Although the overall profile is varied, some sections with long climbs require good effort management. The route follows a clear and easy-to-ride path throughout the journey, with few road crossings.
Santovenia, at the end of the stage, is a quiet village in the province of León.
Santovenia - Montamarta
This mountain bike stage runs from Santovenia to the village of Montamarta (in Zamora province) for approximately 34 kilometres with an elevation gain of 170 metres. Of moderate difficulty, it is an easy ride for cyclists with some experience, and is ideal for enjoying the plateau landscape without too much effort on the bike.
The stage runs along country lanes and dirt tracks on terrain that is generally easy to ride, crossing crop fields. These areas with undulations and open landscapes are typical of the region of Castilla y León. While there are some gentle climbs, the downhill profile and good condition of the surfaces allow for a constant and comfortable pace for most of the ride.
Montamarta, the destination, is a well-placed village on the route. It is known for its pleasant atmosphere and nearby natural areas such as the Esla reservoir.
