This stage runs from Guijuelo to the village of San Pedro de Rozados over approximately 43 kilometres with an elevation gain of 427 metres. The route is tricky and demanding due to the combination of the distance, a number of gradients and the varied road/track surfaces. However, it is cyclable for well-equipped gravel bikes.

The route runs along agricultural roads, forest tracks and minor roads with light traffic. As you ride northwards, the landscape alternates between grasslands, scrubland and crop fields in a rural setting dotted with small livestock farms. The route passes through very peaceful areas with hardly any built-up zones, so it is advisable to carry water and snacks.

Guijuelo, the starting point, is known for its Iberian ham industry.

Although there are no particularly technical sections, pay attention to the signage and the condition of the road/track surfaces, especially when it is (or has been) raining.

San Pedro de Rozados - Guijuelo

This stage spans approximately 42.5 kilometres from San Pedro de Rozados to the town of Guijuelo, with an elevation gain of 445 metres. It is a challenging stage, both due to the distance and the presence of sustained gradients and stretches of somewhat irregular terrain. It is ideal for gravel bikes with good gears.

The route takes you along country roads, agricultural tracks and roads with light traffic, gradually ascending through crop fields and gentle hills typical of this transition zone between the plateau of Salamanca province and the foothills of the nearby mountain range. The landscape is wide open, with panoramic views and few places with shade, so it is advisable to avoid the midday heat in summer and carry sufficient water.

Guijuelo, your destination, is a good place to rest and recharge your batteries. Be sure to try its renowned Iberian ham!

Although there are no very technical sections, the condition of the road/track surfaces may vary, and take extra care at crossings with local roads, especially as you approach Guijuelo.

You enter Guijuelo along a Nature Trail, which allows for a more relaxing end to the stage after a physically demanding day on the bike.
