Béjar - Guijuelo
This stage runs from Béjar to Guijuelo over approximately 35 kilometres, with a total elevation gain of 496 metres. The route is of moderate difficulty and is suitable for gravel bikes, alternating uphill and flat sections with some gentle downhill stretches, which adds variety to the ride.
The route runs through rural landscapes of the mountain range of Salamanca province, with grassland areas and stretches of open fields, extensive livestock farming, and panoramic views of the surrounding valleys. Several agricultural roads, wide tracks and some sections of minor road are crossed during the stage, so stay alert at all times.
Take special care at two points when entering and leaving the CM-316 road, as these crossings are on bends with low visibility. You arrive in Guijuelo along a Nature Trail, making up a comfortable and safe final section. Known for its tradition of Iberian ham and cold cuts, Guijuelo offers riders an end to the stage with all necessary services and an excellent opportunity to try the renowned local cuisine.
Guijuelo - Béjar
This stage covers the 35 kilometres that separate Guijuelo from Béjar through a natural landscape typical of the province of Salamanca. With an elevation gain of 445 metres and classified as moderate difficulty, it is ideal for gravel bikes. The route combines dirt tracks, country roads and tarmac stretches, with a slightly gentler profile than in the reverse direction, although some sustained climbs require a steady pace.
Along the way, the route crosses grasslands and gentle hills in a rural setting dotted with small livestock farms. You leave Guijuelo along a Nature Trail around the town, which means a safe start before heading north towards Sierra de Béjar.
Take special care at the intersections with the CM-316 road, both when leaving Guijuelo and approaching Béjar, as these are on bends with low visibility. At the end of the stage, Béjar is a town situated in a mountainous area with a rich historical heritage and a strong textile tradition, with all necessary services for cyclists.
