This road bike stage connects Aldeatejada to Villares de la Reina over approximately 12.5 kilometres with an elevation gain of 109 metres. It is therefore an easy stage, ideal for all types of cyclists.

The stage begins along Salamanca’s urban bike lane network, offering a safe passage out of the city. However, please note that the bike lane ends in the outskirts of the city. Special care should be taken at this point (at a crossroads), as cyclists mix with vehicle traffic. Along the way, you will find several cycle-specific signalised crossings, which, although marked, present certain risks in areas of heavy vehicle traffic.

Once out of town, the route continues comfortably to Villares de la Reina along  roads with light traffic. This stage of the Ruta Vía de la Plata connects the south and north of Salamanca province, as a pleasant and safe cycling experience.

Villares de la Reina - Aldeatejada

This road bike stage links Villares de la Reina with Aldeatejada over around 12.5 kilometres with an elevation gain of just 80 metres, making it an easy route.

It begins at Villares de la Reina and heads towards Salamanca, crossing urban and semi-urban areas along roads with light traffic. On arrival, the route joins the city’s bike lane network, allowing you to ride safely through the built-up area. Even so, take extra care at cycle-specific signalised crossings, which, although marked, may pose some risks due to the presence of vehicle traffic.

When leaving Salamanca heading south, take special care at the point where the bike lane ends. This intersection, where the roads are shared with traffic, requires extra care. From there, the route continues to Aldeatejada, a tranquil destination that is ideal for taking a rest, completing a short and accessible stage.
