Sevilla - Santiponce

The route starts from the centre of Seville along the bike lane network that crosses the city, so you can leave the city and head northwards safely. Along the way, pay close attention to the signposted cycle crossings, as even if they are activated there can be a certain risk from vehicle traffic.
Santiponce contains a major cultural feature, as it contains vestiges of the old Roman city of Italica, the birthplace of the emperors Trajan and Hadrian. A short stage, yes, but one with historical and heritage interest, ideal for a relaxing visit.

The route starts in Santiponce, well-known as the location of the major architectural site of Italica. From there, the route continues towards Seville along urban roads and bike lanes, which makes for comfortable pedalling. Even so, take special care at cycle crossings, especially in areas with dense vehicle traffic.
You arrive in Seville from the north, gradually joining its network of bike lanes. This means safe and direct access to the city centre through very special surroundings. The city’s numerous treasures, cuisine and atmosphere make it an essential stopover.
