This 30.5-kilometre stage runs from Galisteo to Plasencia along the Ruta Vía de la Plata. There is a variety of terrain, alternating compacted dirt tracks, rural paths and a few tarmacked sections. With an elevation gain of 320 metres, it is an undulating route but without long gradients, ideal for gravel bikers who are looking for a moderately demanding ride.

The route leaves Galisteo through crop fields, grasslands and small valleys that are typical of this northern part of Extremadura province. You make progress through tranquil landscapes with very little vehicle traffic, which means that you can enjoy the natural settings at a relaxed pace, although some sections may require a bit of technical skill if the surface is loose or damp.

You reach Plasencia along rural roads near the River Jerte, giving a picturesque arrival in this monumental city. Plasencia has all kinds of services and an interesting historic quarter, making it an excellent place to end the stage, recharge your batteries, or do some sightseeing.

This 30-kilometre stage leaves Plasencia for Galisteo along a section of the Ruta Vía de la Plata between natural landscapes of great beauty. With an elevation gain of 279 metres, it is a moderately demanding route but ideal for gravel bikes thanks to a good combination of compacted dirt tracks and rural roads with low levels of vehicle traffic.

After leaving Plasencia, the route follows agricultural tracks through the Jerte Valley between grasslands and crop fields that are typical of northern ppart of Extremadura province. There are no long gradients, but there are some short steep slopes that may require a bit of extra effort, especially if it is hot or the wind is blowing.

As you approach Galisteo the landscape is more open and flatter. The end of the stage is an opportunity to enjoy a town that has been declared a Historic-Artistic Site, with remains from the Roman and Islamic eras and also the Middle Ages.
